Correspondence concerning the renewal of the Prince of Wales' Patronage of the Society. These are:

A bound volume containing copies of letters sent in the administration of the Society between the years 1823-1835 and 1846-1861. The earlier ones, covering 1823-1835, are all concerned with the finances of the Society. There is then a break in the letters until 1846, after which the correspondence covers a broader spectrum of activities.

The International Congress of Orientalists, initiated in Paris in 1873, was an international conference of Orientalists. It was later renamed as the International Congress of Human Sciences in Asia and North Africa and then as the International Congress of Asian and North African Studies. This material covers the interaction of the Royal Asiatic Society with the Congress in the time period 1889 to 1993.

The 9th International Congress of Orientalists was held in London in 1892. This material includes minute books, correspondence and printed material concerning the conference.

• Minute Book of the Meetings of the English Signatories and Representatives of the International Assembly of Orientalists - handwritten minutes for meetings from 15 January 1890 - 29 April 1890.
• Minute Book of the English Central Committee of Organization - handwritten minutes for meetings from 12 June 1890 - November 1892.
• Record of the printing of the papers published - handwritten log of papers to be published.

The Royal Asiatic Society has produced a Journal from the early years of its formation and continues to do so. This material covers the records made in the production, administration and distribution of the Journal.

In 1889 a Memorandum of Agreement was signed between the Royal Asiatic Society and W.H. Allen and Company concerning the publishing of the Journal. This series contains that Memorandum and associated correspondence.
