Letter from J.V. Mills to send a list of books which he has donated to the RAS. (See RAS COLL3/7/1/1) Handwritten, 1 piece, 1 side, dated 8 April 1952.

Letter from A Tillotson, Secretary of the University Library, Cambridge, concerning books donated from the Russian delegation at the Congress of Orientalists. Includes also the list of duplicates amongst those presented to Cambridge and some handwritten notes concerning the volumes. Letter typed with printed letterhead and handwritten annotations. List typed with handwritten annotations plus further handwritten notes, 4 pieces.

Three letters from Colonel T.L.G. Gayer-Anderson concerning the bequest of his brother to the Society following his death in 1946. Two are sent in February 1946 to inform of the bequest and to list the items. These are both typed with handwritten annotations, each 1 side, dated 3 and 28 February 1946. The third concerns the presentation of objects to the Society's Museum and to enquire whether the Society would be interested in photographs of the house of his brother, Major Robert Grenville Gayer-Anderson, in Cairo, handwritten, 3 sides, dated 25 July 1947.

• Letter from Mrs M Davis, Secretary Royal Asiatic Society, to the Sub-Manager, Lloyds Bank, to thank him for the information and to ask if the books could be brought by carrier to the Society. Typed, 1 piece, 1 side, dated 1 February 1955.
• Letter from the Sub-Manager, Lloyds Bank Limited, to the Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, to give information regarding the dispatch of the books. Typed with printed letterhead, 1 piece, 1 side, dated 12 February 1955.
• Letter from J.H.P. Pafford, Goldsmiths' Librarian, University of London Library, to Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, to inform that the books forming the Chatley bequest were now in his possession. Typed with printed letterhead, 1 piece, 1 side, dated 14 April 1955.

A sets of eleven letters between Miss E. Wade, Archivist, Methuen Estate, Lord Methuen and the Royal Asiatic Society concerning the donation of the Papers of Henry Creswicke Rawlinson from the Methuen Family Archives. Also with these letters are a set of 3 photocopied or typed copies of documents supplied by Miss Wade relating to the death of Meredith Sophia Frances, Baroness Rawlinson of Trent.

Five letters and one note regarding the donation of a series of 200 postcards or pre-war Malaya and Singapore belonging to Edgar Clement-Cooper. These were donated by his brother, R.M. Cooper.
