Letter from Angus Graham to John Minford to write about a complication in the publication of Poems of the West Lake. It has been accepted by the Zhejiang Publishing Company. He asks to desert Minford and publish with the other company but that some poems could still feature in Renditions.

He encloses two signed copies of the contract which if Graham is satisfied with, then he should sign one and return it. One signed and witnessed copy of the Memorandum of Agreement is with the letter for 12 April 1990.

Angus Graham wrote many articles throughout his career. This series contains material relating to his articles including drafts and correspondence.

Graham was asked to write a preface for the publication of a translation by Witter Bynner. The material consists of correspondence concerning the essay and background material provided by the Foundation.

Letter from James Kraft, Witter Bynner Foundation, to Angus Graham to explain about the essay he has asked Graham to write for a translation by Bynner. With the letter is a printed biographical sketch of Bynner.

Letter from James Kraft, Witter Bynner Foundation, to Angus Graham to explain that after much deliberation it has been decided not to use Graham's essay as an introduction to Bynner's Laotzu as they felt Graham's essay was not in sympathy with the translation. They however send recompense for his work and travels.
