              Storey made many notes in his lifetime of research. Some have been catalogued within the Persian Literature Volumes. This series contains those that have not been assigned to any of the individual volumes.
              These are:

              • Bibliographical research notes - handwritten notes similar to the volume entries. Some have indications that they may have been used in the volumes but they have not been specifically ordered as volume entries.
              • Notebook without cover with notes in Arabic from the 'Home Services Miscellany' - this notebook has suffered from water damage.
              • Notes on periodicals - handwritten.
              • 'Arabic lexicographical notes' - handwritten, title according to label within original file.
              • 'Lexicographical notes - Persian I' - handwritten, title according to label within original file.
              • Research notes in Arabic and English notes on manuscript pages, annotations and miniatures, handwritten.
              • Research notes on 'Philologika' by Von Hellmut Ritter and other publications concerning Ansani, The Suhrawardiyya, 'Ain al-qudat, Kubra, and Najm al-Din Dajah, handwritten.
              • Lists for the contents of MSS Eur. A.11; Persian manuscript titles, listed by size; Contents of the Persian Delhi Manuscripts, Volume III; A handlist of Arabic Printed Works divided by size; and 'Additions'. These are all typed lists. It is unknown which institution's lists from where these have been taken.
              • A large bound notebook containing notes on Course in Bengal Madrassas; Courses at Panjab University; Prospectus of Studies and Examinations for the indigenous Arabic Schools of the United Provinces, 1911; Books Studied in al_Jami al-Azhan; Courses at Deoband. Also within this book are pressed flowers many of which are labelled. Several of these have also come loose and have been placed with a separate folder for safekeeping with loose labels. Inserted within the front cover are some handwritten notes, a copy of a letter from Professor Browne on Persian research, a news cutting - 'Baronet in the Dock: Extraordinary Allegations' and a sheet of a Persian newspaper.
              • Large exercise book with covers missing containing notes in Arabic and English on Arabic texts. Inserted within the book are 2 printed sheets advertising a Seminar for the Comparative Study of Religions at the College, Baroda.
              • Small bound exercise book with the title 'Rough Index to PL (Persian Literature)' with the annotation 'Get a large notebook for use as index'. This index is arranged alphabetically. Inserted into the notebook is a single sheet headed 'Proverbs not Indexed'. Index is in English but this list in Arabic script.
              • Two pocket notebooks, one with a red cover and one unbound containing mixed research notes in Arabic and English.
              • Shelf Lists of the Storey Collections of Printed Books and Persian Manuscripts - typed lists.
              • Manuscript location/Index lists for catalogues - these probably belong to a volume of Persian Literature but it was not possible to identify them, handwritten.
              • Seven pieces of miscellaneous notes, typed and handwritten.

              Storey collated biographical material concerning current and historical figures involved with Persian, Persian studies and the wider history of Asia. These he arranged alphabetically. The material consists mainly of newspaper cuttings and handwritten notes. The names are given as Storey has spelt them.

              • 'The Urdu translation of Saksena's History of Urdu contains portraits of '- list of the biographies in the book. Handwritten, 4 sides.

              The rest of the material was divided into alphabetical subseries.

An offprint of Storey's review of this book published in the Bulletin of the School of Oriental and African Studies, Vol 1, Issue 4, October 1920, pp. 173-176.
              • On the Interpretation of Some Passages in Al-Tha'alibi's "Ahsan Ma Sami'tu". A proof copy with annotations of the article by Storey which was published in the Bulletin of the School of Oriental Studies, University of London, Vol. 2, No. 1, 1921, pp.75-84. This article is incomplete, pages 77-78 are missing.
              • Ibn Muyassar. Annales D'Égypte (Les Khalifes Fatimides). Texte Arabe, édité par M. Henri Massé... Copy of Storey's review of this book published in the Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society, July 1921, pp. 448-451. The article is incomplete, the text for p. 451 is missing.
              • Lexicographical Jottings. Offprint and proof copy of the article by Storey published in A Volume of Oriental Studies presented to Professor E.G. Browne February 1922, Cambridge at the University Press.

              • Catalogue of Persian Manuscripts. Volume III, I. Qur'ānic Literature These appear to be proof copies for the unpublished Volume III of the Catalogue of Persian Manuscripts in the India Office Library. The proofs contain entries 3077 - 4052, pp. 2-59 and are stamped 'From the University Press, Oxford'. The date is almost illegible but may be 1926.               Publications by other people found within the Storey archive (his bequest included many pamphlets associated with his research. These have been kept separately):

              • Photographic plates for an unknown publications produced by the 'Bombay Art Printing Works, Fort' and photographer, 'S. Vasudeorao, Indore'. There are 7 plates showing the Patlia people, 17 plates of the Bhil people, 14 plates showing weapons, ceremonies and domestic scenes, and 7 plates showing the Bhilala people. These are all in black and white and each section is preceded by a written index.
              • Plate of a portrait of George Borrow produced from the painting by Henry Wyndham Phillips by permission of Mr Murray. A black and white print mounted on green paper.

              • A bound notebook with cloth cover containing a series of essays on religion and history. An index can be found at the front of the book
              • A small handmade notebook held together by a simple tie containing texts in Persian.
              • A further small handmade notebook containing texts in Persian
              • Pages from an unknown printed text contain historical material, 18 pages. These are in a fragile condition.
              • The final few pages and the back board of an unknown publication of a history text.
              • Large blue sheet on which is compiled genealogical material, handwritten.
              • Four sides of paper with words taken from gravestones, handwritten.

              Three letters sent from the Qajar court to Sir Gore Ouseley in the course of his diplomatic mission. These are:

              • Letter from Fath-Ali Shah to Sir Gore Ouseley concerned with the allegiance between Persia and England. This is dated to February 1812. The original letter, handwritten in Persian, has been mounted onto another piece of paper. With it is a handwritten translation into English.
              • 'From His Royal Highness' - a letter from [Fath-Ali Shah] to Sir Gore Ouseley to thank him for the gift of a 'elegant crystal candlesticks' and other articles which were 'wholly in keeping with our desire'. This is undated. The original letter, handwritten in Persian, has been mounted onto another piece of paper. With it is a handwritten translation into English.
              • 'A Letter from His Royal Highness Abbas Mirza Prince Royal of Persia to the Rt. Honble. Sir Gore Ouseley Bt.' concerning sending Murza Salih, a scribe of the court, to describe the circumstances at the court. Murza Salih has been chosen as he has previously spent time in England and can therefore talk to Ouseley without the use of an interpreter. Written in March-April 1822. The original letter, handwritten in Persian, has been mounted onto another piece of paper. With it is a handwritten translation into English and a further typed translation.
