The report is with the letter. On the reverse of the letter is a handwritten copy of the reply sent by Winstedt on 26 February 1963.

The copy of the letter from Morgenstierne is with this letter concerning whether Denis Sinor is retaining his British citizenship or if a new representative will have to be found and to provide details of the activities of the Union.

Letter from Professor Georg Morgenstierne, President of International Union of Orientalists, to President, Royal Asiatic Society, to inform that the next General Assembly of the Union would be held at the International Congress of Orientalists in New Delhi on 6 January 1964, and to ask for the Society to nominate a representative. A handwritten copy of the reply has been added to this letter stating that the Society has nominated Dr Allchin, who has succeeded Dr Sinor.

Letter from International Union of Orientalists to Royal Asiatic Society to state that they have sent an official invitation to the next International Congress of Orientalists and to comment that the Royal Asiatic Society hasn't replied to letters or paid its fees in recent years despite the auspicious initial connections between the Society and the Union via Hamilton Gibb.

Letter from President, Royal Asiatic Society, to Georg Morgenstierne, President, International Union of Orientalists, to state that the Society's representative would be Dr Allchin of Cambridge but that he is unsure if his letter would reach Allchin as Allchin had already left for India.
