Two letters, both dated 3 July 1985, from E.V. Gibson, Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society. The first is to A.V. Bollans, The Alden Press Ltd., to terminate the annual agreement with the Press for the production of the Journal. The second is to J. Pettitt, SB Datagraphics. to invite the company to produce the Society's Journal in 1986.

Cambridge University Press began publishing the Society's Journal in 1991. This is still ongoing. The material in this series includes memoranda of agreement, a publication license agreement, meeting minutes, final accounts, correspondence and administrative documents, and advertising leaflets.

There are two types of agreements:

• Memorandum of agreement for 20th December 1989, for Cambridge University Press to publish the Journal from 1 January 1991. Also further Memoranda of agreement for 22 December 2005, with Addenda to this agreement made on 28 February 2008, 27 May 2008 and 19 February 2009, and for 14 April 2010 with an Addendum for 3 August 2011. (The current agreement is held within the office records.)
• JSTOR Publication License Agreement between Cambridge University Press and the Royal Asiatic Society with a contract date of 31 August 2005, and a further agreement dated 18 January 2007 (2 copies).

Minutes of Meetings held between Royal Asiatic Society and Cambridge University Press to discuss matters of Journal production for 12 July 1990, 14 July 2003, 15 December 2006, 22 May 2008, May 2008, 1 December 2008, 27 November 2009, 16 April 2013, 6 May 2015, 27 April 2016, 20 April 2017 and 12 April 2018.

At various points in its history, the Royal Asiatic Society has entered into agreements for both reproduction of its Journal and sales of excess copies and offprints. This series contains the administrative documents available from those agreements.

Agreement made by the Royal Asiatic Society with Micro Methods Limited for the Micro Reproduction of Journals and publications issued before the date of the agreement. It is dated 6 January 1959 and signed by M.A. Brampton for Micro Methods and Richard Winstedt, Director, and M. Davis, Secretary, for the Royal Asiatic Society. With the agreement is a document entitled 'Heads of Assessment suggested for the Royal Asiatic Society' which is dated 9 September 1965.
