'A Catalogue of Indian Idols, Indian Paintings, Drawings, &c. which were collected by Mr. Simpson, during a long Residence in India in the Company's Service. Which will be Sold by Auction by Mr. Christie, at his Great Room, in Pall Mall, On Saturday, May the 26th, 1792, at Twelve O'clock.' This is a photocopy of the original printed catalogue. With the catalogue are notes created by Michael Willis concerning the three items purchased from this sale which are now in the British Museum Collection. Also a letter from Ian Jenkins, Senior Curator, Greek and Roman Antiquities, British Museum, to Michael Willis thanking him for sharing the catalogue with him and recommending a book, handwritten, dated 3 February 2005.

This is a sketch of a buffalo, presumably the one that took part in the fight of WJ/3/1/4. The inscription above gives both Sanskrit and Persian words for the buffalo.

"A Brief Comparison of the British, French and Dutch Systems of Administration in the East" by "Hope Springs Eternal in the Human Breast". Another essay submitted for the Prize Essay Competition, probably that of the second prize winner, Miss R.W. Wilkinson. Handwritten, 41 pages.

A black & white photograph inscribed on verso in ink with "Malay Head, Dora Gordine, Town Hall, Singapore" There are also pencil annotations which seem to be calculations for including the photograph in a publication, and a request to the return the photograph to Hon. R. Hare, Dorich House, Kingston Vale, SW15. The Malay Head was sculpted from bronze by Dora Gordine in 1930-31, being exhibited at the Women's International Arts Club, Suffolk Street Galleries, London, in 1934, at the Royal Academy in May 1938 and at the Royal Glasgow institute in 1938 and again in 2006. It is in the Collections of the Former Parliament House, Singapore.

A Bhojpuri rāga song known as the Morang song referring to an expedition to Burma. English title says "Moran song: on the expedition to Burmah land sung at Nepal Durbar, Feb [5] 1830. Handwritten in Bhojpuri, dated February 1830.

Correspondence concerning a 50th Birthday reception for the Prince of Wales. These are:

Typed with printed letterhead, dated 18 August 1998.
