There are two typed manuscripts concerned with the translations of the works of Evliya Celebi.

Manuscript titled: Translation of Cavit Baysun's article in "Turk Islam Ansiklopedisi". Summary of Turkish work on Evliya Celebi. This summary was used by Allen during his early research on the topic, Allen also attached a copy with his project proposal to Harold Bowen at the Hakluyt Society. Dated: 1948.

Bibliography titled: "Wordage estimated from printed Turkish edition. Summary of contents in French by Professor Awirl Decei of Istanbul". List of volumes of Evliya Celebi's work including dates of volumes, estimates of page number and word count of each volume in Allen's handwriting. Typed manuscript, undated.

This series consists of correspondence between William Allen and Vladimir Minorsky. The material dates from later in Minrosky's life but he is still active in producing translations of material. Much of the correspondence concerns both his and Allen's work in translation. There is also a printed bibliography.

This sub-series consists of 42 items of correspondence between Allen and Minorsky.

Letter from V. Minorsky to W.E.D. Allen in which Minorsky discusses books and whether Allen has received copies of his Sharvan and Darband. He has received few copies for personal distribution to his friends. Dated: 18 December 1952.

Letter from V. Minorsky to W.E.D. Allen in which Minorsky thanks Allen for sending offprints and correspondence and writes of the difficulties of old age and remembering. He also writes of other publications concerning Caucasus and Turkmenica, and of his pleasure in meeting S.P. Tolstov. Dated: 15 April 1956.

Letter from V. Minorsky to W.E.D. Allen in which he apologises for not writing but thought Allen was busy with his Centenary and Minorsky's continues with bad eyesight. He writes that his catalogue of Sir Chester Beatty's Turkish manuscripts is published and being promoted. He asks to be reminded which manuscripts Allen was wanting to borrow.
