Letter from Richard Clarke, Secretary, to James Cosmo Melvill, Secretary, East India Company, to send 40 copies of a paper by Mr Thomas, Bengal Civil Service, on 'Early Coins of Early Mohammedan Arabs' printed in the Journal of Royal Asiatic Society. Mr Thomas has been published before and any further publications by him would be welcome. Also Clarke thanks for an interesting paper transmitted by the East India Company on the 'discovery and present condition of the Arabic Library of the former sovereigns of the Adil Shahi race at Bijapur'. A copy of a Mr Frere's catalogue is also requested on its receipt by the East India Company. (Found on page 125)

Letter from Richard Clarke, Secretary, to all non-resident members to inform that the different categories of membership have been reduced from five to three: those of resident, non resident and honorary. Non residents elected before the rule change are now asked to pay one guinea per annum for the Journal and arrangements should therefore be made to reflect this. (Found on page 126)

Letter from Richard Clarke, Secretary, to the Secretaries of Bombay and Madras Branches of the Royal Asiatic Society to inform that the Regulations of Royal Asiatic Society, have been revised, and these are sent to the Secretaries. They are asked to note that only three classes of membership are now available. Also the Library of Royal Asiatic Society is deficient in certain volumes of Journals of both the Bombay and Madras Societies. (Found on page 127)

Alishan, Secretary, Armenian Mekhitaric Society, San Lazzaro,Venice, to agree to send copies of the Royal Asiatic Society Journal to the Armenian Mekhitaric Society. In return, the Royal Asiatic Society would like to receive copies of anything published by that Society and a copy of an Italian Armenian Dictionary. (Found on page 131)
