Sem títuloThe signed Minutes of the Editorial Board from 13th December 1951 until 12th December 1968, and of the Publications Committee from 13th February 1969 to 14 April 1977. These are handwritten into or typed and pasted into a lined notebook with a green cover.
Throughout the period of the Editorial Board the President of the Society chaired the Committee. These were Richard Winstedt, Gerard Clauson, Sir Harold Bailey, and Charles Beckingham. The Publications Committee was chaired either by the President or the Director. These were J. Burton-Page, B.W. Robinson, A.D.H. Bivar, Stuart Simmonds, K.A. Ballhatchet, and Charles Beckingham again.
Sem títuloThe Minutes for the Publications Committee from 9th June 1977 to 8th December 2011. These are pasted into a large hardback bound volume with a blue and red cover. The Minutes contains details of those from the Committee that were present and apologies for absence, matters concerning the Journal of the Society including articles submitted, under consideration and accepted, exchanges with other institutions, books for review and permissions requested for other publications. They also considered the prizes such as the Barwiss-Holliday Fund and the George Staunton Prize for articles and theses.

Correspondence concerned with the Journal sent and received in the 1970s and 1980s. These are:
- Correspondence between the Royal Asiatic Society, W.E.D. Allen and Professor G.A. Daniyalov, Vice-President of the Daghestan Filiale of the Soviet Academy of Sciences concerning asking Daniyalov to write an article for the Journal on his archaeological discoveries at the Aul of Arakanee in the distirct of Kumukh, Central Daghestan. 7 letters, dated 8 November 1971 - 22 May 1972.
- Correspondence between the Royal Asiatic Society and Sir Max Mallowan, John Burton-Page and Sir Mortimer Wheeler, regarding the delay in the publication of a special JRAS issue dedicated to Sir Mortimer (Volume 102, Issue 2, April 1970). B. W. Robinson, RAS President, wrote to Sir Max to explain the delay but he demanded further explanation from Burtin-Page, editor of the Issue. A sherry party was arranged on 8 June to present the issue to Sir Mortimer. 13 letters, 18 pieces, dated 15 March-21 April 1972
- Correspondence concerned with a specially bound edition of the Journal in honour of Sir Mortimer Wilson for His Imperial Majesty, Mohammed Reza Shah Pahlavi. Two letters, dated 15 and 23 June 1972.
- Correspondence between the Royal Asiatic Society and Anthony R. Walker concerned with the possible publication of his paper on the Red Lahu people in the hills of northern Thailand. 3 letters, dated 2 - 21 February 1972.
- Correspondence between the Royal Asiatic Society, F.R.C. Bagley, Mrs M.N. Bagley and C.E. Bosworth concerned with the possible publication of an article by F.R.C. Bagley, Lecturer in Persian Studies, University of Durham, about Khuzestan, written after a visit to the region. 5 letters, dated 28 October - 4 December 1972.
- Correspondence between Friedhelm Hardy and Simon Digby concerned with the possible publication of Hardy's article on Madhavendra Puri. 2 letters, dated 2 -13 November 1972.
- Letter from Charles Beckingham, Hon. Editor, to Dennis Duncanson, Chairman of the Publications Committee, regarding the possible payment of book reviewers. He also suggests that David Morgan might be a suitable candidate to work alongside him, and then replace him as Editor of the Journal. 1 letter, dated 10 April 1984.
Letter from Max Mallowan to John Hansman to send a copy of Mallowan's "Elamite Problems" (not included). He writes that he is interested to hear about Hansman's plans for excavations and suggests he tries to persuade David Stronach to be involved. He also suggests that Hansman sends him the paper that he wants examining in late summer. The letter is complete but the piece of paper is partially missing.

In a handwritten postscript Stronach writes that he has sent Hansman's letters and form to Karl through a member of the dig.
