"A List of Malay and Javanese Books - Lady Raffles requests to present to the Asiatic Society the Malay & Javanese manuscripts which were collected by Sir Stamford Raffles. Lady Raffles believes the enclosed Paper contains a list of them. Lower [Grosvenor] (address given in membership list 1825) Street Jul 12/30". The Donation is recorded as on January 16th 1830. "The Singhalese Book is called Pansiyapanas Jatakaya" Explanation accompanying a donation of the book. The letter gives a comprehensive account of the book and its production and is signed as by written Benjamin Clough (1791-1853), Wesleyan Missionary in Sri Lanka, and dated 25 March, 1824. A further label reads "Sir A Johnston, Jan 7 1826".

Letter from Major-General Samuel Williams Ogg to Dr George Henry Noehden, Secretary of the RAS, presenting a "specimen of a new mineral found in the Mysore Country near Belloor".
