Documents relating to the replacement of the existing gas cooking stove with a new model. These include a letter from E. S. M. Perowne giving his views and multiple letters with the Gas Light and Coke Company regarding the new model and the cost involved. Letter from Mrs R. Drury-Lowe to Silcock to ask if she may attend the Conversazione as she was supposed to be attending with her brother, Sir Montagu Beauchamp, who unfortunately is away from London on important business, dated 10 February 1931. Also a letter from Margaret Knight to send her apologies, dated 12 February 1931.
Correspondence regarding arrangements for China Society Dinner held on the 11th June 1931 at the Trocadero restaurant. There are seven letters concerning guests, their placement at the dinner, and the toasts. There is also a menu card for the Dinner and a printed copy of the Chinese National Anthem.
