The original trust document between Doctor Bimala Churn Law and the Royal Asiatic Society concerning his donation to the Society, the income arising from the Fund to be used in publishing a monograph or thesis which shall be part of the Dr B.C. Law Trust Series and should be on Buddhism, Jainism or the Hostory or Geography of Ancient India up to the end of the thirteenth century. The document is signed by Council Members of the RAS and by Bimala Churn Law and bears the Society's seal. It is dated 16 October 1936.

Moreland on his death in 1938 in which the Society were bequeathed some of his possessions, the income from his publications and one quarter of his estate upon the death of other named members of his family. The correspondence concerning this dates from 1938-1940.
There is further correspondence from 1956-1958 after the death of his family members and also earlier correspondence concerning publication of his books, dated 1922-1923.

Correspondence concerning the bequest of Professor Charles Ambrose Storey to the Royal Asiatic Society and copies of his will. Storey died on 24 April 1967 and bequeathed his specific legacies of books and manuscripts and the residue of his estate. The material includes:

  • Initial correspondence to Storey from his solicitors concerning drafts of his will dating from 1937-1950.
  • Wills dated 1935, 1940, 1941, 1954, and a notebook containing a handwritten draft of the will.
  • Executorship Statement dated 21 May 1968.
  • Correspondence, mostly dating from 1967 and 1968, concerning the sorting of the will, and the sale of Storey's library and other items.
