A pro forma letter from the Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society to inform that an article had been accepted by the Council of the Society for inclusion in the Journal. The letter is headed as from 56 Queen Anne Street, the premises occupied by the Society between 1947 and 1988.

There are two sets of Lecture Cards giving dates and names of speakers. Those for the Main Lecture Series also include a list of the Council Members and the dates of Committee Meetings. These cover the dates 2000-2001, 2001-2002, 2002-2003, 2003-2004, 2004-2005, 2005-2006, 2006-2007, 2007-2008, 2008-2009, 2009-2010.

The Student Series Lecture Cards cover the dates 2006-2007, 2007-2008, 2008-2009, 2009-2010.

Bernhard Dorn's, 'Description of the Celestial Globe belonging to Major-General Sir John Malcolm, G.C.B., K.L.S. &c., &c., deposited in the Museum of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland'. This is an offprint of the article published in the Transactions of the Royal Asiatic Society 1830, Volume II. The offprint contains two sketches on its inner front cover. With it is also a sheet of paper with Arabic script in ink and English annotations in pencil. There is also a letter from David [ ], Oriental and India Office Collections, The British Library, to Michael Pollock, Librarian, Royal Asiatic Society, to send the offprint and ask if the whereabouts of the globe is known, dated 1 November 2001.

A partial manuscript of 'A sketch of the constitution of the Kandyan kingdom' by John D'Oyly, published in the Transactions of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland, 1833, Vol. 3, No. 2 (1833), pp. 191-252. The manuscript was submitted by Sir Alexander Johnston as the most accurate account that had been given to him and therefore worthy of publication in the Journal.

A manuscript of an 'Abstract Translation of an Inscription on Copper Plates found in the Fort of Miruj. Dated saka 946, or A.D. 1025' by Mr Wathen. This is annotated by H.H. Wilson. A copy of the inscription is also with the translation. This particular translation was published in the Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society, 1836 (2), pp.258-271. An explanatory article of William Henry Wathen's work on inscriptions in India was published in JRAS 1835, pp.378-399 and includes remarks by Horace Hayman Wilson.

'MSS Memoir on the Length of the Illahae Guz' by Colonel John Hodgson. This includes a letter pasted into the manuscript from Hodgson to Richard Clarke concerning the manuscript, dated 21 August 1841, and also a postscript written within the volume by Henry Newnham, dated 22 May 1824. The article appeared in Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society XIII (1843), pp. 42-63.

'An Account of Jerusalem from the Persian text of Nasir ibn Khusru's Safarnamah', translated for the late Sir H. M. Elliot, by the late Major A.R. Fuller, published in the Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society, New Series, Vol. 6, No. 1 (1873), pp. 142-164.

'The Intercourse of China with Eastern Turkestan and the Adjacent Countries in the Second Century B.C.' by Thomas William Kingsmill, published in the Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society New Series, Vol. 14, No. 2 (Apr., 1882), pp. 74-104. The manuscript is written in a large soft-covered notebook and dated Shanghai, January 16 1878.
