This is a typed manuscript of Nelson's book Fort Jesus of Mombasa. He first went to the Fort in September 1986, so the manuscript will have been written sometime between this visit and his death in 1993. The manuscript contains colour photographs, diagrams and an index. 240 A4 sheets.

Includes information about the importance of Celebi's works as a social history of 17th century Ottoman Empire.
