The letter also provides information as to what members will have to pay should they return to England. Further there seems to be a problem with dispatch of the Society's Journal to Ceylon. Also the Society in London has not received a copy of Issue no. 2 of the Ceylon Society's Journal. (Found a page 122)

Mr Thomas has been published before and any further publications by him would be welcome. Also Clarke thanks for an interesting paper transmitted by the East India Company on the 'discovery and present condition of the Arabic Library of the former sovereigns of the Adil Shahi race at Bijapur'. A copy of a Mr Frere's catalogue is also requested on its receipt by the East India Company. (Found on page 125)
