"Note. Gold Found while fishing at Batu Lintang River in Mukim Simpor In the Distrct of Kuala Muda" Typed letter, from Mohamed Sheriff bin Osman, Secretary to the State Council, date: 16/06/1914. The letter concerns a boy who found an ancient gold belt and sold it to the goldsmith. Unfortunately, the belt should have become Government property to be kept in the State treasury, but it had already been melted.
