"Asiatic Journal for March 1820 in which there is an article, "College of Fort William, Public Disputation", which reports on the disputations in Oriental languages by members of the College. Hodgson took part as the 1st Opponent in Persian and in Bengalee. The disputation was then followed by giving of prizes and certificates for the qualifications awarded by the College. Printed journal, with some annotations, 1 item, dated March 1820.

Letter from Dr Chandan Roy Chaudhuri, General Secretary of Asiatic Society, to Mr D.J. Duncanson, President of Royal Asiatic Society, to thank him for his letter and convey his appreciation of awarding Professor Sen in this way.
