They ask for Storey to inform of the number of proofs required and suggest leaving the question of paper to see if the current controls will be relaxed. On this letter Storey has written a copy of his reply in which he suggests that he will need four to five sets of proofs some of which he will airmail to the editors in India. He thinks they will require only 500-600 copies but will consult with his colleagues to confirm this.

He is unsure how this will affect Kitāb al-Tashbīhāt but will inform when this is known. On this letter Storey has written a copy of his reply in which Storey writes that he had assumed that there would be an increase in cost but is trying to minimise this by copying as much as possible of the manuscript in his own hand to increase the legibility.

The Gibb Memorial Trust was established in 1902 in memory of Elias John Wilkinson Gibb, a largely self-taught Arabic, Persian, and, above all, of Ottoman Turkish, died age 45 in 1901 and his mother established the Trust. These papers mainly cover the period 1927-1951 and consists of governance, finance and publication documents, produced mainly as a result of Charles Ambrose Storey's involvement as a Trustee of the Trust.
