Copy letter from Yumjao Singh to Christopher Gimson to say that the three folios from the Manipuri manuscript are part of a treatise on Shibika, a book on astrology. He writes about the classification of the work and about the subject. He further writes about the history of European arrival in Manipur and asks if Pettigrew could procure more information for him. Typed, dated 9 July 1937.

Letter from Yumjao Singh to William Pettigrew to say that preparation work is underway and that he has added about 200 words to the vocabulary. He writes of their method of comparing words in as many manuscripts as may be reviewed. Typed, dated 29 June 1937.
