Angus Graham both translated Chinese poetry and wrote his own poems some of which were published, including his collection, The Coral beneath the Sun (Doldrum Press, 1969). Material in this series consists of drafts for both his own poems and translations, some musical compositions, correspondence about his own and others' poems and drafts for articles.

Angus Graham wrote short stories. This series contains notes and drafts for some stories and correspondence concerning them.

In the course of his research, Graham made notes, both in notebooks and on loose sheets of paper. These were generally concerned with his interests in philosophy, experiencing life and language study.

Graham spent much of his academic career at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He held some visiting fellowships within his tenure there and after his retirement held several posts at universities in many locations. This series contains material connected with his appointments.

Graham attended a number of conferences during his academic career. This series contains correspondence about his attendance at some of them and subsequent publications.

Much of the correspondence within the Graham papers is connected to his publications and activities and has therefore been catalogued in those series. This series contains those letters that do not easily fit into the other categories of the collection.
