Includes information about the importance of Celebi's works as a social history of 17th century Ottoman Empire.               Letter from Peter Skelton to W.E.D. Allen in which he writes of a forthcoming C.A.S. dinner and discusses Mango's translation of Russian Embassies. He suggests that Allen put forward a proposal for a second volume to the Council of the Hakluyt Society and that the switch to Cambridge University Press has much increased the sales of the Society. He is pleased with Allen's choice of collaborator for Evliya, thanks him for the Russian catalogue and his news on the Arabic globe in Naples. Dated: 19 June 1958.
