No.2: A further description, written by Edward William West, 15 December 1864. No.3: Plans of caves 1,3,4 and 6, at a scale of 1/10 inch to a foot, dated December 1864. No.4: Copy of the inscription in the Temple, on the Poona road, taken from Mr Brett's facsimile of 2 May 1854. No.5: Tracings of copies of inscriptions made by A.A. West from copies by Dr. Bradley.

And for the Bâmachandra Caves: No.6: A copy of a descriptive note by Edward William West. 1864-5.

Documents relating to the Poona Caves. These are:

• No.1: A description written in 1855.
• No.2: A plan of the large Cave, scale 30 ft to an inch; unfinished drawings of a moulding and a column, scale 1/2 inch to a foot; and two photographs taken in 1856.
• No.3: An envelope containing three paper impressions of ornaments on a frieze under sculpture No.5.

A leather bound portfolio containing four folders entitled 'Caves in the Satara Districts', 'Mahar and Kura Caves', 'Junnar Caves and Nana Ghat', and 'Nasik Caves South and North Series'.

The folder is entitled 'Caves in the Satara Districts' with a list of the contents relating to the caves in the Satara Districts. This list is expanded within the documents.
