              Letter from the New York Press to William Claxton Peppé in which they ask for photographs of the relics so that they may be reproduced in the Sunday press. They promise to return the photographs immediately. Typed letter with printed letterhead, dated 5 January 1898 [but likely to be error in New Year for 1899].

              "The Buddhist Stupa at Piprahwa on the Birdpur Estate." A draft of the paper published in the Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society 1898 (3), pp.573-578. The main body of the text is in Peppé's handwriting but there some emendations and additions in another hand, probably that of Vincent Smith. However these do not appear in the article as published but the article is considerably revised from this draft and has an additional note by Vincent Smith (pp. 579-588). Handwritten, 7 sides, undated [1898].

Peppé, agent and representative of the Proprietors of the Birdpore Estate. and made over by him to the Imperial Museum Calcutta on the June 1898." Draft lists of items found.               "Preliminary handlist of transcripts of the William Claxton Peppé correspondence from the papers of Neil Peppé, Esq., prepared by Charles Allen With additions by Kathy Lazenbatt Amended and annotated by R.B. Parsons". Transcriptions originally carried out in 2008 with amendments in 2009. With these is: "What happened at Piprahwa: a chronology of events relating to the excavation in January 1898..." by Charles Allen Paper on the William Claxton Peppé Correspondence presented by Neil Peppé at the Harewood Conference in 2006.

              All are typed documents, dated 2006-2009.
