The script of the records is South Indian and the language is Sanskrit.               Letter from Prof. Dr. Frederik David Kan Bosch to Quaritch Wales concerning the translation of the inscriptions found on the discs from Kedah in old-Javanese alphabet dated to the latter half of the 9th century. The inscriptions also mention the name of Smantabhadra and Bosch comments on this word, which in this instance might not be connected to the Bodhisattava. Typed letter, 2 sides, dated 28 July 1939.
