Cathmandu, January 1st 1837". Two copies of softcover offprints from the 4th Volume of the Transactions of the Agricultural and Horticultural Society of India with Hodgson's annotations, 123 pages. There is a printed letter to Hodgson at beginning of book concerning the submission of this information to him. Dated 1 January 1837.

"Hourly Observations during the Last Vernal Equinox at Nepal By Dr. Campbell (From the India Review)". Soft cover on which Hodgson has written "Climate: Hourly observed Equinox", 4 pages, dated 23 June 1837.

Hodgson kept many newspaper cuttings both about his own life and about the subjects in which he was interested. Though some of these are located with other material, such as in the Autograph book (BHH/1), there are 119 loose cuttings within his Papers.

Cutting from The [Athenaeum] concerning a paper read by Mr J. Beames, "On the Magar Language of Nepal". A short description is given on the Magars and where they live. Hodgson has added title and annotations. Dated 28 November 1868.

Cutting from The Times with article entitled, "Nepaul" which is a critique of the book "History of Nepál", translated from the Parbatiya by Munshi Shew Shunker Sing and Pandit Shrī Gunānand with introductory sketch of the country and people of Nepál by Daniel Wright. Hodgson has added his own title, "My Services in Nepal..." Dated 22 December 1877.
