These maps were originally housed in the Society's plan chest in the Reading Room. It was decided to catalogued these as Dent's personal papers given the evidence of ownership.
Directe bron van verwerving of overbrenging
Unknown. Possibly through John Frederick Baddeley, who was a member of the Society.

Printed travel maps of Caucasus with marbled paper covers, all marked ‘C. T. D.’ or ‘Clinton T. Dent’ on the covers. Three of the maps can also be associated with the travel writer John Frederick Baddeley. These are:
- Colour map showing the Dykh Tau mountain and its northern glaciers in central Caucasus, with routes marked in red. Scale: 0.5 inches to 1 English mile. This map was published for the proceedings of the Royal Geographical Society, May 1890, and sold by Edward Stanford in London. Marked ‘Baddeley 1’ on the cover.
- Map showing the relief, rivers and towns around Abkhasia in the western Caucasus, with ‘author’s route’ marked in red. With a smaller map showing a route from Kutais to Gebi. Scale: 1.25 inches to 10 English miles. Marked ‘Baddeley 3’ on the cover.
- Map showing the topography in the district of Nalchik, no. XX—28. Scale: 1:42,000. Sold by Edward Stanford in London. In Russian. Labels on the cover marked ‘Caucasus. Stulee-veek District’ and ‘Dent 4’.
- Map showing the topography in the district of Vladikavkaz, no. XX—29. Scale: 1:42,000. Sold by Edward Stanford in London. In Russian. Labels on the cover marked ‘Caucasus. Central Group’, ‘Dykh-Tau & Koshtan Tau’ and ‘Baddeley 2’.
