Letter from William Pettigrew to Mrs M. Davis, RAS Assistant Secretary, enclosing his report on the monograph and a letter to Gimson. In his report he raises some objections regarding the content and concluded that the chapter on Grammar is more or less an adaptation of his own published work. In the letter to Gimson he writes of his disappointment over the Society's decision to not publish the work, and hopes that publication can be arranged by the Asiatic Society of Bengal. Typed, dated 31 January 1941.
