Letter from Christopher Gimson to William Pettigrew to say that he imagined Yumjao's manuscript was mislaid in the confusion of the war but hopes that Pettigrew has received the copy by now. He is interested in Pettigrew's and the Society's views on the possibility of publishing the work. He further writes that there is no probability of India's taking an active part in the war unless it spreads further. Handwritten, dated 27 December [1939].
