              Four unbound manuscript pages for Elliot's 'A History of India', printed by the Oriental Lithographic Press, Calcutta:

              • Appendices III A and III B: Diagrams depicting unknown, labelled items, probably hill towns, surrounded by notes in Arabic and one other, as yet undeciphered, script

              • Item labelled 'No.XV - Number 1': Printed table and map for the 'Village of Mouza Sooltanpoor, Purgunuh of Noh Jheel, Zilla Muttra', labelled in English. The table shows a brief, surveyed description of the area, which includes the number of houses and wells, amount of land covered by buildings, the cost of various items, the general caste of inhabitants, and the depth of water

              Bound manuscript for the "Supplemental Glossary of Terms Used in the North Western Provinces". It commences with a description on the flyleaf of how the volume came into existence. There is a further description under the heading "Supplement to the Printed Glossary" initially dated 15 August 1843, crossed out and changed to 7 February 1844. The manuscript is then titled "Supplemental Glossary of Revenue & Agricultural Terms used in the North Western Provinces". The manuscript has many alterations and annotations. The volume measures 26.5 cm x 21 cm with marbled cover and leather spine entitled "M.S. of Supplemental Glossary".

The volume starts with a preface entitled "Supplement to the Printed Glossary" before beginning the glossary. The manuscript has some annotations and corrections. The volume measures 33.5 cm x 21 cm with marbled cover and leather spine much of which has been lost.

              The file contains a variety of notes, alphabet tables with English transcriptions, songs and word-lists, many unidentified, with some in Persian script and others in Devanagari script. Simon Digby notes that the items are "evidently from the papers of Sir H.M. Elliot", and describes some of the contents as follows:

              • 1) Words in Persian script of a song (thumri) in tan (raga), Bihari
              • 2) 'Ahwal Katorianka' or 'Five Sepoy Kubeers', in Devanagari script, sent to Elliot by Wakefield, and copied down by one of the latter's 'Buchgotees'
              • 3) Word-list in Devanagari script, paper watermarked 1848
              • 4) 'Hakikat Rajmahal', in Devanagari script
              • 5) Four items which appear to be lists or tables of Indian alphabets, one with English transcriptions. Digby notes that the alphabets included are North Indian, namely Kayathi, Shastri and Mahajani
              • 6) One long manuscript in Devanagari script, as yet unidentified, but with English transcriptions in Elliot's hand
              • 7) Six items in Persian script, as yet unidentified, which appear to be tables. On each is what appears to be an official stamp
              • 8) Two rough pages of notes in Devanagari script, written in pencil
              • 9) One slim item, appearing to be a Devanagari word-list
              • 10) Three pages of verse in Devanagari script
              • 11) One page in Devanagari script, appearing to be a word-list
