Printed copy of speech given by the Public Orator in presenting Dr Mark Aurel Stein for the Degree of Doctor of Science honoris causa . The Speech is given in Latin and bears reference to Hiuen-Tsiang, Chinese pilgrim A.D. 649, whom Stein claimed as his "guide and patron saint". Two identical copies of this speech each with handwritten annotation correcting the title of Stein's book from Sand-buried Cities of Khotan to Sand-buried Ruins...

The Gibb Memorial Trust was established in 1902 in memory of Elias John Wilkinson Gibb, a largely self-taught Arabic, Persian, and, above all, of Ottoman Turkish, died age 45 in 1901 and his mother established the Trust. These papers mainly cover the period 1927-1951 and consists of governance, finance and publication documents, produced mainly as a result of Charles Ambrose Storey's involvement as a Trustee of the Trust.

Letter from W.L. Raynes, Clerk to the Trust, to C.A. Storey, India Office Library, to inform of a forthcoming Trustees' Meeting on 8 June 1929. Business included report on the financial position of the Trust and update on publications including a letter from Professor Margoliouth regarding the Index to Yaqut. Storey has added handwritten annotations concerning publications.

Business includes the financial position of the Trust, the resignation of Mrs Ogilvy Gregory as a Trustee and the consideration of publications. Storey has added handwritten annotations regarding publications.

"Minutes of Meeting of the Trustees held at 90, Regent Street Cambridge on Saturday 21st May, 1932 at 3 P.M. o'clock" at which Mr Reuben Levy was appointed a trustee, the report on the finances was adopted and reports on works in progress were discussed.
